Spot formed on leg in the past 2 days. Is it herpes? Please help

this spot has formed on the back of my thigh in the past two days. my wife suspects ingrown hair but could it be herpes ? thanks !

    if you have an open sore you should have a pcr test done

      what is a pcr ? for herpes you mean? also the sore hasnt opened it just went dry

    Polymerase chain reaction test. its highly accurate. you have to get them tested while the sores are fresh though.
