Spotting

I am not sure whether I suffer from AV GP thinks so but have never asked the gynae. Was discharged 2 yrs ago. Problems are constant burning abdominal discomfort feeling of having urine infection and since yesterday spotting brown discharge and I feel so uncomfortable down below something is not quite right. Just want to know whether spotting is one of the signs of AV. Been in and out of A&E due to a trip and hurt rt shoulder and not too keen to go and see GP again, it seems I am there almost everyday.

Hi,if you google it,you probably can find the answer, however,i would get checked as brownish spotting can mean bleeding. Best not to take a chance. Also tey and go to the gynocologist when possible as they know much more about VA than a general practicioner. Most of your symptoms seam to point to VA. Hope you feel better soon.

Hi Marie, i have been experiencing problems since last January with brown discharge and also fresher spotting - I have had two hysteroscopies - and two scans - first

hysteroscopy show lining of uterus thicker than it should be - 2nd hysteroscopy

showed AV  - I - was prescribed vagifem as a pessary for three months but I still

had the problem - doctor sent me for another ultra scan which showed lining backi to normal as you can imagine it left me very confused and so my doctor arranged

for me to see the gynocologist , which I did last week and they confirmed that

it was AV and I am now awaiting another prescription of a stronger cream -

I have not experienced any soreness but due to my circumstances i am

not having any sexual intercourse. If I were you don't give in and ask you

Doctor to refer you.  I am just hoping this cream works

Marie, spotting should never be ignored and my advice would be to go to your GP and ask for a referral.  I know what you mean about a bout of visiting the GP - I'm having one of those at the moment and just been referred to the breast dept of hospital for a soft lump to be checked up on, but your health is important and spotting is bleeding which may possibly have come from the cervix or the uterus and it does need checking up on.
