Spotting After Sex Vaginal Dryness

Posted , 3 users are following.

I am 53 and I have so many perimenopause symptoms. I went from heavy multiple cycles for days. Now some days I feel like I am pregnant, nauseated, morning sickness, no period for 5 months, I spot after sex. I feel like I am lubricated enough in my vaginal area, but it is never enough. I feel like I am going to get a period but I don't. I stopped googling all my symptoms because it scares me to death. I have had a pap it came back normal. So, now I have an appointment with my gynecologist next week and I am praying I am ok. I just want to feel normal again. The vaginal dryness & spotting really worries me that is my biggest concern.

    Hi Cia,

With age comes menopause. Leading up to that is all kinds of unpleasant symptoms. Vaginal dryness is one of them at this time in your life. Good estrogen is depleting along with testosterone and progesterone. Not unusual for soreness to happen too. Women can lose their sensitivity and it can become difficult to impossible to reach climax. Its hard to enjoy sex if your dry which can lead to soreness. Replacing lost hormones can remedy your situation through the right doctor. I started with a holistic dr when i went into menopause and have been on hormone replacement through pellets. Prior to starting hormone treatment I found using coconut oil helped for lubrication. As far as your spotting goes it could be your periods coming to an end as you get closer to menopause but asking a dr about that could bring peace of mind.
