I sprained my ankle twice in 2 weeks before school started (August 29th). A couple months later i'm starting to have issues, it doesn't function how it used to. I can't stretch it as far as i can with my other ankle. I can't twist it in certain ways if i do i have pain. Also, i can't stand for a certain amount of time or i will get a burning pain in it and my ankle cracks sometimes when i walk. I've been wanting to see a doctor but I lost my insurance card.

Greetings Catanzaro,
I'm glad you came to this forum. A lot of us here have been through ankle fractures and sprains and can tell you a story or two about our travails.
It sounds like you had a couple of bad sprains that are not healing up too well. A moderately severe ankle sprain can take up to 4-6 weeks to mend enough to resume somewhat normal activities. You suffered two sprains in a short period of time, and that is not excellent.
You didn't mention how you managed to sprain your ankle, but we assume it was a type of accident that wouldn't break any ankle bones as well. Only x-rays would reveal if anything got fractured.
Immediately after a sprain, you need to apply first aid. First aid comes in the form of P.R.I.C.E., which stands for Protection (protect ankle from further harm, and use a splint or brace); Rest (stay off your feet and give it a chance to heal); Ice (apply ice to injured area, especially in first 48 hours after injury, but continued icing after that can be counterproductive); Compression (use a bandage or compression sleeve to reduce swelling); and Elevation (elevate ankle to heart level to reduce swelling).
If you suffered moderately severe sprains and you try to resume normal activities too soon you risk impairing a proper healing response.
Consequently, it is possible to further injure affected ankle soft tissues (muscles, nerves, ligaments, tendons, fascia, etc.) in such a way as to suffer chronic ankle problems later.
Once you get past the worst pain and swelling, it is time to strengthen, stabilize, and restore ankle function with rehab exercises. There are a lot of how-to videos on YouTube that will coach you through rehab if you can't afford a formal physical therapist.
Rehab is extremely important because after suffering two sprains your ankle is already compromised and is susceptible to more sprains in future. Hence, the stress on strengthening and restoring ankle biomechanics.
I hope you get some professional attention to your ankle, insurance card or not.
Good luck to you.
