Squeaky clean!

Morning Hippy folk,

Hope you all had a good night last night - mine was rubbish so had a lie in and plan on having an easy day today

Decided I would have my first shower this morning

Put my perching stool in the shower and took my crutches in with me - absolute bliss, even managed to shave my legs somehow

Used my grabber with a towel to dry the bits I couldn't reach - it's amazing how innovative you become

Just  wish I could get rid of the night time pain -it's such a strange nagging sort of pain, but at least it goes when I am up and about

Swelling in foot and ankle on operated leg has gone right down - such little steps on our big journey!

It's a lovely day here in North Warwickshire - hope you all have a lovely weekend and improve day by day

Warmest wishes Linda xx💞💞💖

Hi Linda ... oh boy, what an accomplishment - especially the shaving of legs and slathering lotion on them too ... I still can't do it at 14 weeks post op ... do you bend down or put your leg up on a chair or something ?? maybe I am too careful or too rigid ...

the hippies on this forum gave me such good tips about how to dry off the nether parts of the body - and yes, using the grabber with towel works ... and in the beginning I also used the hairdryer to dry my feet/ toes ... so creative !!!!!

Weather in this part of Holland is partly sunny (had rain while sitting out side having coffee after grocery shopping) and kind of windy .. warmer weather in the forecast here too ...

Blessing and warm hug to all

      Hi Renee

How is your day going. Hope all is well with you

regarding shaving legs - Sat on perch in shower and just

reached down rather gingerly and of course ,you have the few extra inches of the razor, and went for it

If I had felt any discomfort I would have stopped but it felt fine

I sat upright in bed and put lotion on legs. So I could reach down  and not break 90 degree rule

I sit in bed with knees drawn up  a bit to balance a book and read so just got in that position

i seem so much more flexible since having op - always was till arthritis kicked in and then everything was a major effort so I just didn't bother

It's amazing how you find a way to do things sometimes - every little thing makes me feel so much better like I am getting somewhere

enjoy the lovely weather -where in Holland do you live?

Good morning Linda .... OMG ... why didn't I think of that - redface poor dry and hairy legs are in for a treat  ....might even put some self tanning lotion on them - I might be a little bit more restricted due to the other bad hip though ...

I live in the East part of Holland, Drenthe ... very rural - came back one year ago from 34 years living in Los Angeles and grew up 25 km from Amsterdam ... long story ...weather is going to be nice here too ...

      enjoy yours too Linda ,

      big hug

      renee
