Stabbing pain???!!!

Hi ladies

I'm now 3 weeks post op and for the last couple of days have had a constant stabbing pain just below my scar on the left..

Not sure if it's anything to worry about and if I need to get it checked out... Codeine is not touching the pain 😓😓

    Hi Di.

I am also 3 weeks post op and getting some stabbing pain. I think it's our insides healing. I am using paracetamol but I have not used a stronger painkiller from the start as I cannot take them. It is uncomfortable but i think it's all our nerves knitting together.

I am not worried about it but will mention it to doc next week if it doesn't settle.

      Hi Lee

Thanks for that will stop worrying now.. Hopefully it will settle down soon.. It is quite painful and very uncomfortable..

I did quite a bit of walking yesterday so maybe that hasn't helped either...

Have got the nurse again next week as part of of scar not healing so good so if it's still hurting next week will mention it..

      Hope your doing ok..

      Hi Di

i have a small bit of leaking on the right side of my scar but it is getting better. I have also started walking with my dogs so I think I am maybe using bits of my body I have not used for a while. I certainly have a bit of a sore back. I am just going to take it easy and see what happens. It is only 3 weeks afterall xx

Hi this is the first time on here for a few months. I had my hysterectomy 10 months ago, they just left me with my ovaries. I was just thinking this morning it's the best thing I could of had done. The pain lasts a few weeks, the numbness surprised me it lasted maybe months in all. If you have pain you're not sure about just give your doctor or the ward a call and they will tell you if it's normal. Take it easy although I was wallpapering a month after surgery. You will know your limits for a while. Hope your scars heal up well and I wish you a speedy recovery.

I had same post op. Found it started once I was increasing my activity and settled with rest. May be sign you are doing too much. I found it came on if I overdid it. Still getting pains when more active and 10 weeks post op. Mine seemed to be groin type pain, think you get lots of odd aches and pains after this surgery! Consultant not worried at 6 week check.
