Stabbing pain in left temple

Hello everyone, for around 2 months i have been experiencing what can only be described as a painful stabbing pain in my left temple almost like someone is digging a screwdriver into the area. I also get blurriness in my left eye when i occurs and an off balance feeling. It seems to be a sudden on set when it occurs which really decreases my mood and makes me anxious. My GP has put it down to stress. However i'm worried it could be something more serious as its been happening around 1 in 2 days for the last 2 months which is why my GP ruled out migraines. Has anyone experienced these symptoms before?

It is also worth noting that around 4/5 months ago someone accidentally swung their elbow into the same area i'm now getting pain but when it happened my head was fine with no pain after the initial bruising went away.

Sorry for the long post but its making me anxious with much help from professional help.
