Stabbing pain in toes

Posted , 1 user is following.

Hello! Don't know if anyone is still reading these posts but in case they are here is my story;

I had a microdiscectomy/laminectomy on March 10th 2021. Herniated L4. For the first 3 weeks after the surgery I was doing fine! At the end of 3 weeks I developed a stabbing pain in my toes when I would lay down. Specifically in the big toes on both feet. Sometimes when I'm sitting also.

Saw 2 doctors about it and one tells me "it's not permanent, it WILL go away" while the other tells me "it could last several weeks or it could last several YEARS". MRI with contrast shows no issues.

Gabapentin does nothing for me. Norco does nothing. Tylenol and ice SEEM to help some.

I'm reaching out here to see if anyone has found anything that works! Sometimes I am up ALL NIGHT LONG! No sleep at all. I can't function that way for the rest of my life.

Would love to hear from others. kevinpehl@att.net. Thanks!
