Stage 4 cirrhosis

I was diagnosed with stage 4 cirrhosis a year ago I also have oesophageal varies where I had 6bands I went to the doctor last week and my liver is now stable, but I don't know much about my condition and the stage it is at has anyone else been through this? Or know any information about cirrhosis at this stage? I have been clean and sober since being diagnosed and control my diet i.e. High protein and no salt but would really be grateful for any information and advice???

    Welcome Leanne. First of all well done for stopping drinking. I was diagnosed 6 months ago and like you don't know much my self. No drink no salt and eat healthy your doing the right things. I feel bad for saying this but I find this site very quiet and not much support the only reason in on now is that I received a email of New discussion. I found another site this last week and found great support and regular replys it the healthunlocked with liver trust. There are many stories on there that given me hope as there are many years from there diagnosed till now. And there experiences through this horrible disease. Best bit of advice I got was eat up and read up. And stay positive. Hope you find your answers. Best wishes. .
