Standing after sitting a while

Hello

New to the forum: I had my left hip done about 17 weeks ago and was feeling ok. I walk well no limp, I exercise daily, not crazy but every day. NOW when I sit for a while it hurts to stand, takes a minute or so to get going then I am fine. Anyone else have this issue.

Thanks, Davide

after 3 thr surgeries in my experience the healing journey for each hip were all different, all miserable extremely painful at first then slowly healing gets to a better place within a few months . the average healing journey is 3-6 months for short term healing and 6-12 months for long term healing.

the recovery part never gets easier a roller coaster ride all the way. who knows what could be causing your issue im sure it's not serious but maybe your doing to much. maybe a rest for a day or two will help...that's usually what i have done when issues start. a day or two of rest and your go to go again...

it does get better in time and the hip pain and discomforts do finally come to a end.

at 4-5 months your almost at the end of short term healing. take care of your new shiny hip and it will take care of you. one of my hips is over 22 years old. it's all good and your off to a better quality of life.

    Yes, this is quite common.

What I used to do is pre standing up, run up and down on the spot so to say for 30 seconds.

This seems to wake up the nerves in this area, and allows the first movement to be easier.
