Great when they are out, with me they took every second one out on a Friday and did the rest on the Tuesday. It felt like a big step forward when they were gone and I felt like I could then start some serious recooperation.

Hope I can help. My physio gave me massage excercises to do at home to stop adhesions forming around and under the scar.

Lay your forefingers on either side of the scar, close together so you're not pulling the scar apart, and then move the fingers gently back and forth simultaneously. Work your way along the scar until you get to the end. Then, keeping the fingers in the same parallel position, move them from side to side, gradually moving from one end of the scar to the other. Afterwards, smooth something like vitamen E cream or jojoba oil, walnut oil, whatever, into the scar and around it. Repeat as often as you want.

I've been doing this for just over 2 weeks and the scar is much more comfortable, and the tissue around it seems softer. It might be worth a try, if my description makes sense.

      Good luck,

      Denise from Oz
