Started Medication for SVT

Hi all,

I'm a 25 year old female who started Flecainide (2x50mg Daily) after a stress test and holter monitor showed I had SVT. Since going to my full dose after beginning on only 50mg x 1 daily I've had constant headaches and fatigue.

I was wondering if anyone had experienced side effects from Flecainide like these-- the medication is doing wonders for my heart but not sure I can take much more of the headaches!

First thought I had, is why you are taking an anti-arrhythmic?

Have you trued a beta blocker or channel blocker?

Do you know what type of svt you have?

In the past I tool a beta blocker. Now my experience was not good, but that doesn't necessarily mean everyone will be like that I was excessively tired. I could not get off the sofa. My heart rate and bp did come down. My hands and feet were freezing. That was on 5 mg. I dropped the dose to 2.5 mg and it was certainly more barrible

That was 4 years ago. I finally stopped it.

I have just started a calcium, channel blocker Jan 22. It has not helped my episodes. I do have side effects but am seeing my ep in a couple of days.

I have heard so much good that channel blockers help many people. And beta blockers too.

As your cardio ever suggested having an ep study done?
