Started Sertraline for 2nd time

i was on this 2 years ago and after what seemed like an age was able to get my life back. I now have accepted I need to go back on and am on day 2 of 25mg but will be increasing to 50 on next few days if

i can. Hoping it works a second time but doctor says no reason why it wouldn't . i'm barely sleeping and not eating properly so also panicking i'm losing weight! anyone else at this point with sertraline?

    yes I am having issues as well.  I started on 50mg, dropped to 25, then back to 50 now on 75mg...and need to bumb to 100...

    I'm not sleeping, have no appetite, losing weight (i dont mind that), and have an increased heart rate & clenched jaw...

    However alot of the side effects have lessoned or gone away completely like the nauseau and headaches... so I'm hoping the rest will start to lesson as well.. my dose has changed 3 times in 8 weeks so I think once I'm on a stable dosage i will have time to adjust...

    I have had different side effects with each dosage, so its been a little difficult to function... hope you feel better soon.

      hi Tammy  - no sleep at all? i was given dizapam to help with side effetcs - took half last night and was close toa panic attack! sad it camt help they keep changing your dosgae -

      Hi Natalie, 

      I cant sleep more than two hours at a time... I was given some xanax to help, but I am still up within 4 hours... I'm hoping its the dosage, but without the increase I wasnt able to control the panic attacks...

      I had been on Paxil twice, and I never had any side effects, but it stopped helping so I thought I would try something new....

      Alot of people say this goes away, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

    really struggling today, been 2 days

    on 25 and this is 2nd day on 50, feel terrible

      I did natalie,tbh for two weeks then it got a bit better,if its unbearable go back down,how long did you do 25 for?

      i did it for 2 days and i think last time i did 3 days. i take it in the morning and feel worse say mid afternoon and it slightly tails off by evening

      Mayb try 25 for a week and then go up to 50,but as youv started if u can peresrvere,itl take abt 2/3 weeks before side effects improve x drink lots of water

      No not at all i just abt managed to get showered n eat,then i just would lay on sofa x

      i took a diazepam this morning as felt rubbish and i think it's helped a bit

      Yes had to force myself i ate what i fancied,n luckily i got a sick note off my doctor so dont have to work atm,but stil had to look after my 10 yr old son who is luckily n angel:-),my doc refused to give me diazepam :-(,im glad its helped you tho,i also found paracetamol helpfull made the flu symptoms go away,i think in 2/3 weeks youl look back n b glad you persevered i promise,just keep tellin yourself im halfway to feeling better,b strong n msg wenever you want too ask anything,just so you know tho theyl b a day wen ul think yay the side effects are gone,then the day after they may return but its all just normal x
