Hi my advice would be to stick with it, it will get better. I was put on sertraline 50mg 5 years a go after trying numerous other medications. The side effects were horrendous for me in the beginning, increased anxiety, pins and needles, really bad headaches and being sick every morning as soon as I stood up. After 3 around 3 weeks tho they went and I felt so much better my anxeity hadn't really been a problem since until recently. Today I've been put up to 100mg I don't know why I just figure maybe my body has gotten used to the 50mg and its just not enough for me anymore. I'm dreading taking them to be honest because of how awful I felt taking the 50mg at the start but I'll stick with it because I know in the end it will be worth it again. Hope this helps a little x

Hi tammi I'm a 16 year old male that has been struggling from anexity for about 3 months already and one day I couldn't take it, I went to the doctors and they put me on the medicine your on, the first couple weeks were pretty bad, more anxiety, feeling like my brain was in a bad fog and worst of all I felt like everything was a dream, I only been on the medicine for 3 weeks but I'm defiantly starting to feel better, Ik it is hard but I thought I would never get better but please stick with the medicine it will help us for sure, and in the mean time you'll have to be strong but it will be worth it in the end, we all will feel better soon smile.

It happens with sertraline, I was on 25mg of it a while back for 6 weeks and literally was so anxious and took myself off then because of the side effects such as severe anxiety, sleeplessness, dizziness, pins and needles and eye twitches not to mention weird brain thoughts.. they take at least a month to work.. best to go wait at least 3-4 weeks to see if they work and if not go back to GP smile
