You used the word Zombie, that is exactly how I feel when taking alpha blockers.

My limited experience of doxasozin (4 weeks) was very similar with the worst side-effects being the dizziness, tiredness, lethargy & getting out of breath climbing steep hills which was not the case before I took the drug.

I had to ask my GP to take me off it as it was ruining my enjoyment of life. I also have a job which demands technical knowledge & its application & that was getting like wading through treacle.

I'm now trying Ibesartan/thiazide & the side effects are mercifully more tolerable.

my experiance of doxazosin was simmilar to above had horrendus 12 months

of all sorts wierd pains and tingling sensations round my body but now 2 years down the line on a 4 mg took at night dose i lead a normal life apart from seeming to be a bit tired around 5pm ish

its up to the invidual to to see what medication works my b.p. now runs at around 130/80 ish mark ,its worth persevering and also talking in forums as this as some of the side effects are quite scary and can make one feel that the treatment is worse than the malady good look to you all :D
