Started Zoloft 3 weeks ago...horrible side effects HELP!

I started Zoloft 3 weeks ago for nighttime anxiety. I would wake up with my heart pounding and sweating. My doctor prescribed 25mg to start. I am very sensitive to medication so after taking 25mg for a week I changed to 12.5mg. This didn't help at first but right when I was about to quit I finally slept throughout the night for the first time so I continued on the 12.5mg. A week went by and I was going alott better going to the gym, appetite was back, and sleeping better. My gynecologist had done blood work fit my hormones earlier in the week and called me and said my progesterone was a little low so she prescribed minivelle patch 0.0375. I put the patch on the next day and had a terrible day with hot sweats and jittery all day. That night I couldn't sleep and had hot flashes all night. So the next morning I took the patch off. I continued to have night sweats and heart palpitations of and on for days after. So my doctor upped my dose of Zoloft from 12.5 to 25mg I've been on 35mg for 2 days and feel awful. Jittery, burning skin, no appetite, cramping and headache. Can someone please tell me if this is normal. I can't feel like this everyday. Should I just go back to 12.5mg? Also I did have a partial hysterectomy in 2009 so I am just wondering if this onset of nighttime anxiety could be from that.

Thanks for the encouraging words! I actually was calm this afternoon around 5pm. I was able to eat a small dinner so that is an improvement. I was on Zoloft 3 years ago for morning anxiety and I just can't remember having these side effects on such a low dose.

Sorry about your mother. I agree, I was lucky for it to stay away for 3 years but it just came back right before Christmas when my sister was having some health issues. I was very stressed and not eating or sleeping. It's just so frustrating to be awaken every night around 3am with my heart pounding and sweating. I just want a normal nights sleep😫

Omg...I have the understanding that drs are only good at prescribing a cocktail of disastrous drugs that they have never tried ....please get off that poison....I don't think a Dr.is going to tell you about cognative behaviour development help or how to cope with anxiety symptoms... .I seriously would never take anything from drs again....I am slowly recovering from what was termed trauma from withdrawal symptoms....would love to sue the makers of depression pills...

I couldn't agree more, I didn't feel this crazy before starting the medication. I just don't understand why I didn't have this reaction 3 years ago when I was on Zoloft. I spoke with my PCP today about the horrible side effects I've been experiencing and she actually told me to increase the dose and wanted to prescribe Xanax to take during side effects. I don't think she understands what I mean when I tell her that I have a low tolerance for medication. After speaking with s friend who had bad side effects after being on Zoloft fur months I think I am just going to get off of this medication while I can.
