Hi, I started citalopram a week ago. The posts here seem to be from years ago and just wondered if this post was still active and anyone else had just started. Feeling very nauseous. with lack of appetite.

In my experience, side effects will come and go for the first 6 weeks or so and you're likely to get them each time you change your dose upwards.

Thank you. im planning on staying on 5mg for a few weeks but will see how soon the side effects subside. Im surprised I'm getting them on such a low dose.

Started this medicine 2x. Both times the med made my anxiety worse for a few days before I saw any progress. One week in I was feeling less anxiety attacks, more just kinda blah. Week two I was starting to have better days mixed with bad ones.

By week 4 I was laughing again. The tears stopped, I could get out of my home.

    This drug is great!
