Starting with Sertraline Help

Hi it's been 3 days since I started Sertraline 25mg . I now feel even more depressed and get axienty.My head feels numb.

Is this normal and will it go away.

    I also tried sertraline but it didn’t work for me. I felt more anxious. Everybody’s different. You might want to give it a little longer time to start working. it could take up to six weeks or so if you can hang in there that long. Let your doctor know if your symptoms are just too strong. The dosage could be adjusted. It’s frustrating trying to find the right medication. sometimes we have to try a few to get it right. Take care

    yes this is normal for sertraline to make you feel worse before it starts working. my first week taking it was horrendous. it does settle down and start working as it should though... well for me it did anyway.

    if your not feeling better in a week or 2 then its maybe worth trying a different one. dont be put off by how you feel in the first week or so though. thats totally normal
