Status on differential diagnosis to PMR - no real news yet

After a new neurological examination including EMG (ei. not ALS) I am back with the reumatologists. Now referred to the national special hospital department for a.o. autoimmune inflammatory diseases. I keep myself on 10 mg, and fell accordingly tired and stiff, pain in hips, elbows, shoulders, knees, feet, wrists, and thighs ect. but also a lot involuntary muscle twisting in the waisted muscles (not from PMR I guess). I really hope to be back with a diagnoses - any guesses are welcome 😃

is your twitching on one side or both sides does pred make better or worse?

About a year and a half ago my daughter started with weakness in her left hand it kept progressing and she was being tested for everything including ALS . it was finally down to ALS or MMN. (Multi-Focal Muscular Neuropathy) . she has had good results with the treatments, which confirmed the diagnosis her diagnosis of MMN You can find info on MMN at Mayo Clinic . Good luck with finding your diagnosis

Sorry about your daughter. I will have a look at the MMN. Is was there before pred. and it went away when I was on the higher does (15 mg). It came back (worse) after I tapered to 10 mg. It is both arms and legs both sides and the trunk. What medication is your daughter on?
