Wondering if anyone here has had stem cell injections with stem cells taken from their belly fat. I just had the proceedure to cultivate stem cells from my belly fat and store them with a stem cell bank. My injections are scheduled in two weeks.

I have bone on bone in both knees and have already had 4 prp treatments. The PrP worked for a while...so I am hoping this works. I am only 48 and replacement is just not an option. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated smile TIA

Here in the UK NICE control what treatment Drs may give and it's based around proven results.

TKR is very, very successful which is why it's the preferred route, what are you waiting for. I know a lot of people who have had this done and they are running around like new afterwards.

Great news 😊 I also have read of great results with early intervention. It may be the answer for many in the future.

My research shows that fat stem cells are not as effective for orthopedic purposes. Wish I knew that before I had my own failed procedure from fat cells. Also I am very lean and we did not get enough cells. Plus disc are hard and don't respond well anyway. Too bad for me with all the cash and down time with increased pain. Got smart after more research. Bone marrow cells for my wrist worked great and about 50 to 60 % improvement on thumbs which are also iffy.

Where did you have the bone marrow procedure done? From which area of your body were the cells harvested?

here in Cincinnati...I can't put the office, doctor, or company here. Stem cells are taken from the back of the pelvis close to the ilium and platelets via normal blood draw then processed and mixed together. One week ahead I had dextrose prolotherapy, then the stem cell/platelet mix. A week later the joint is fed platelets again. I was braced for a month after.

Stem cells from fat are not very good for orthopedic uses. Bone marrow cells work much better. Wish I knew that before I wasted so much money and down time for no results for my back....lots of pain and cash...no return. Thought I had done good research but sometimes you don't know how to find the studies. Anyway, hope to save someone else the pain and expense.Doctor was sincere but he got taken too by the sales pitch

Oh Molly so sorry stem cell didn't help. I like many others was  hoping it would help many who suffer from arthritis. Where did you have it done if you don't mind my asking?

i have had both hips replaced and it's well worth a better quality of life. You will dance again slowly but surely life begins again and pain free!

Thanks so much for the encouraging words! I had my stem cell therapy done in Louisville, ky. A place called Louisville Body Works. Then I had 20 sessions of physical therapy....I felt better for about 6 weeks but when I went back to dancing and choreographing, the pain came back with a vengence! Even though my arthritis was really bad, my Dr. Thought I had a good chance of stem cells working because I had 2 billion stem cells that he pulled from the back of my hips.

Glad your hip repacements were successful! It gives me HOPE!

Your amazing and with a great attitude.monce you see a hip, specialist the best doc is the one that does many and has no patients with issues. There is a state joint registry you can find online to secure a surgeon in your area at a good hospital with excellent results with surgeries .

A teaching university hospital is usually the best. I had three hips done over the years. done. I ride horses, garden and did everything I did before just a little slower and different. We all adjust in different terms thru healing. I am grateful for hip replacement & a pain free life and a full life is only a step away cha cha step for you too!

My doc told me when I was diagnosed with osteo arthritis in my 40's and not to wait to long to have hip replacement. He explained they need quote good bone stock healthy tissue for best long term results and less risk for complications.its over twenty years old still ticking!  So when the pain became unbearable  I was glad I did the surgery.

Keep in touch I know you will be glad you did too! It's the best decision considering the alternatives.

Healing blessings sent ur way from the west coast! I guarantee you wil be puttin on ur dancing shoes again.👠👠

Hips are iffy for stem cell procedures. No one for sure why but suspect that because the hip joint lacks progenitor cells the results are not very good. Some will respond but many don't
