Takes months to know if it is working. Spasms the first week or two is expected. You're a year out so how are you doing now? 6 months to a year you should have improvement.

Jeff,
Stem cells back in Jan., one knee ok, other one determined to hace torn meniscus, just saw Doc, scheduling me for PRP on that knee, any comments would be appreciated, am also wearing an "unloader brace" on that knee, about 6 hrs per day on average
Not much pain, mostly aches since the brace, but it is cumbersome when worn
Thanks

I had my stem cell injections in both knees April 1 2017. It takes 6 months to know if it worked. At times I thought it isn't working but I really think I'm having progress. Very early did I take pain medicine. It was done with my own platletts (blood) fat and bone marrow.
Hang in there. I use Australian cream on my aches and pains daily. I am 73 and active. My email address is if you want any more info. I have a diary on my progress as well

First two months after stem cell therapy is still clean up time...not repairs really happening until the clean up phase is done. 4 to 6 months minimum till you can see improvements usually. My thumbs took 6 months to a year and improvement is marked but not perfect.
Hips are iffy my doctor says. If the range of motion has been impaired stem cells are usually ineffective. Knees respond pretty well. Thumbs are iffy but I did have improvement with my high stem cell count. Don't know the research on getting stem cells from other sources as we can
t do that here in the U.S.

My hips with stem cell didn't work. I waited a year in hopes of improvement but they actually got WORSE! A year and 2 weeks after stem cell therapy I had both of my hips replaced....Anterior approach so far all is GREAT And I am recovering quickly!

Had stem cell in left knee about a month ago. Have had ozone therapy and shock wave therapy once a week for three weeks since then. Possibly will have PRP at 6 weeks out.
Has anyone had ozone and/or shock wave with their stem cell? I feel like they have caused me more problems. Knee feels stiff and hurts when I stab or walk for very long or if I’ve been sitting awhile and stand up. After the initial stem cell I felt better than after these other treatments. I know I can’t use Ice but has anyone had success with heat?

Started Chriopractic treatment in March (24 visits, about 5 treatments per visit), almost completed, but stiffness (no pain) in right and sometime left hinders my walking, I need to discuss this on my last visit, although I map out where my level of pain and symptoms on a chart each visit. I will receive 10 months of free treatments every 3 weeks when I complete these visits
Just some info, would like to know if anybody experiences stiffness, and what they do for it
Thanks
