Stent in kidney stone removal..

Hi all,  Just had a 1.1 cm kidney stone removed and a stent put in. I am having extreme cramping/throbbing. Any tips? Urologist is coming in tomorrow morning. Also, I’m a teacher on my feet ( p.e.) all day. When should I return to work?? Cannot imagine teaching like this all day. Thanks!

It sounds as if you are still in hospital?

If so they should give you advice about when you can return to work before they discharge you.

I had multiple stones removed and had a stent in for a week at beginning of December last year.

I had really bad stomach ache.

Take care and keep in touch

    Sarah xx

No, I am home now. Spent one night. Am in a lot of cramping right now. Meds haven’t kicked in yet. I am trying to get the week off, as I cannot imagine teaching an hour, never mind one day. Stent will remain in for 3 weeks, so that stone fragments can pass.
