It's Angela here, I have had 2 Steroid Injections into my spine, the 1st one didn't make any difference, the 2nd one made my pain worse than before.
It is also extremely painful!
I'm still waiting to go in to have a 2nd Operation on my L5/S1 Disc, I have'nt been to work this year and I'm in constant pain in my back and severe Sciatica down my left leg.
Hope this helps you!

I had facet joint injections back in March for Sciatica in left leg and I was unable to sleep as every time i turned over the pain in my back woke me up. The injections helped the back pain and i was able to sleep again but that was in March, since then I am now off work again as the pain is really bad, I am currently being treated by a Chiropractor but I am getting worse?? not sure whether it's the condition or the Chiropractor??

I've just come back from having the injection in lower back this morning.
Was not as bad as I thought it would be after reading all the stories.
I was so nervous this morning but it was all over in a matter of minutes and it did hurt a bit but not what I expected it to.
Was not allowed to drive home after and told to rest until monday and wont feel any better for a few days until it kicks in.
My consultant wont operate until they find out whats wrong with the rest of me, he thinks it maybe to do with my brain sending my nerves wrong messages so I have to go for tests for that and back to see the consultant in 2 weeks.
I had to laugh because they give you this form to fill in and you mark on a diagram where you get pain, mine was almost filled in from head to toe!
Any way I hope this injection works for me but they do tell you not to get your hopes up but I guess anything is worth a try when your in so much pain.
Good luck with your injection, just go for it and fingers crossed. Have you got a date yet?
