Hi i was diagnosed with GCA last November and prescribed 50mgs of Prenisilone. I finally reducing slowly i got down to 6mgs in December this year before i had a flare so i'm back up to 15 mgs but am having dreadful shakes and tremors. Anyone else had this?

What was the flare like? I wonder if your adrenal glands need more time to recover their ability to produce enough cortisol? Did the shakes occur before or after you increased your dose? There will be people along with more expertise than I have, but I think you should report this reaction to your doctor.

Not heard much complaint about shakes at 15mg though there have been some at the higher doses for GCA. But definitely something to discuss with your GP - it isn't always PMR/GCA or pred to blame!
