Will taking my state pension affect my ESA and PIP

    Hi,

    It won't affect your PIP. For ESA it totally depends what ESA you're claiming, whether it's Contribution based or Income Related. If you don't know then you can either ring ESA and ask or it will tell you on the letter that you should have received in March/April of this year.

    I cna't help any further without knowing which one you're claiming.

    Your PIP will be fine but ESA is a working age benefit and it will stop once you get your State Pension whichever type it is.

    Sorry I can't give you better news but Employment Support Allowance isn't compatible when you've retired if you think about it.
