Hello Stephen I am sorry to hear you are having all theses problems with your pains in your body. You say you are on full strength Tramadol which are not helping much. You should go back to your doctors and explain this to him/her and ask is there another tablet you can take along side tramadol to help with your pains . Good luck John

Hi Stephen, I’m 40 and I suffer from fibromyalgia, arthritis with knee cartilage problems and also lower back pain caused by slipped discs. In addition to this, I’ve had two discectomy surgeries alongside bouts of severe nerve compression and sciatica. I can really sympathise with the pain you are in. Over the years I have tried various combinations of pain relief but the one that has stuck is to take 400mg slow-release Tramadol (my maximum dose) along with 1200-1500mg of slow-release Gabapentin twice a day. I supplement this with paracetamol and ibuprofen when required.

It is definitely worth you speaking with your GP to look st what you can add into your meds routine, you shouldn’t have to live in pain!
