Yes, a man can pass it onto his wife without knowing. What symptoms is your wife showing? It's probably not HIV but maybe worth going for a test

We both got tested twice the results were negative.. But the concern is we both are losing weight and are worried a lot.. Doctors keep telling us it is stress

There is a window period between infection and when it will show on a HIV test, you should get another one just to make sure. Do you think you could have become positive outside the relationship? It may well be stress, if you're worrying that you maybe positive.

I would say you're in the clear and the weight loss is due to something else. It was a 6mth window period but I think they can spot it within 3mths now. Apart from the stress aover this, have you both got other pressures that may be stressing you out?

I'm not sure, I think you are worrying about the HIV too much and that is stressing you out. You've had all the negative results so believe the dr's. Maybe you are still stressed about whatever you did to think you'd become infected

Not sure abbout what else could be causing the weight loss, how much have you lost? Just try to eat small amounts a few times a day if you're not eating. Builder drinkers are always good

I'm assuming you're in the uk, go and see the nurse at your gp's surgery and have a chat about your worries and the weight loss, they maybe able to come up with the solution

One more thing. If we did have the virus and symptoms began to show is it possible we cld get negative result?

Or once the symptoms began to show the result wild be positive..

The thing with HIV is you don't really get any symptoms for a long time after being infected apart from when your seroconvert (that's when you actually become positive after being infected) but that's generally just flu like symptoms for a few days. I'm sure after both having a couple of tests and the results being negative that it's not HIV.
