why do i keep having on & off redness irritation round vagina opening. its itch & i doesn't have pain while peeing. my discharge a lil smelly. it is causing me discomfort . it always go away and come back weeks later. does everything look normal ?

Hi, is your discharge smell on the fishy side ? does it get better midway though your cycle ? It could be BV based on smell and other symptoms.

yes its smell like fish& i haven't had a cycle in a while but i never have problems down there when i do.

if its on the fishy side i want to say its BV and if you been dry it is most likely from it. BV is a lot harder to clear as it can be very persistent and does reoccur..You may need to have Antibiotics to treat it and take a yeast infection medicine as well because it will wipe out the good bacteria as well as the bad bacteria. Also it does help to eat and or use probiotics to help your flora retain its normal balance. Is the discharge runny ?

sorry im just now seeing this but yes my discharge runny . its thin white i have an appointment coming up Tuesday to get checked .
