Stiches inflamation

Hi. I have had a procedure which required stiches after wards. It started to hurt a bit and it got swollen and has a purple hue at a certain place, which worries me since it is not uniformal.

I have showed the image to that doctor and he said it looks fine but I don't trust him completely, and it could be problematic if it is infected, or has other issues.

I would appreciate it if you can tell me from your experience if it looks like something to worry about or that it will heal eventually on its own.
