I’ve been on Sertraline for almost a week now (I went on it Monday and it’s sunday now) and i feel like I’ve had every single symptom. On the first two days I was too nauseous to eat anything, I’ve been having chest pains and breathing issue, increased anxiety, and having trouble sleeping. Today which is day seven has been pretty good for anxiety but I haven’t been able to sleep at all. Every time I’m just about to fall asleep I jerk awake, help?

What mg are you on , I am week 3 prozac same feelings, I have had to go down to 5mg, not so much anxiety now and can sleep better, I asl take propranolol, and have diazapan when needed, but that dos,nt help when I was on 10mg, no sleep is a killer, The jerk feeling is I think your dose is to high, it's overload of anxiety, it's terrible that we are put on tablets to help depression and anxiety, but they give you it more 10 times more, they say give them 6 to 8 weeks to work easy said than done, I am better on 5 mg at the moment may go to 7mgnext week, please get back thank you

Hi Mikey, yes the side affects can be torturous. It should get better as time goes on. As one person told me on this forum is that it is a sign of the meds working. When I first started this med i would get such strong anxiety attacks, i thought i was dying. I had other issues as well. But I'm on week 13 and I feel so much better. What amount are you on? I'm on 50. They say it takes 6 to 8 weeks to get full relief but i have to say that it took me alittle longer, but it doesn't mean that it will be the same for you. Everyone is different. Hope this helped some.
