Hi, I was scared at first also, but I think you should take your meds! They worked for me. But if they dont work for you, your not too beat yourself up about it, go back to your GP for help. Stop worrying, take the pill! You will be fine!

They are great pills and did wonders for me and my wife. What have you heard bad about them??

They can make you feel funny for the 1st 1-2 weeks, probably give you nightmares.

From 2-4 weeks they will take maximum effect and you should feel a huge benefit, it just seems FOREVER for that first 2-4 weeks to pass. Don't take them and expect to feel better the next day you will not.

Are you male or female? Many women (my wife included) are unable to orgasm on these pills. As her husband this is a serious \"issue\" but we lived with it.

Long term side effects - I don't believe there are any/many. My wife stopped taking them over a year ago with no ill effects at all.

You MUST decrease the dosage slowly over 1-2 months, I once made the mistake of halving my dosage for a week, and then as things seemed ok just stopped taking them. This caused intense anger and mood swings and lead to me taking them again very quickly. The trick is just to ease off them slowly. Good news is that they are absoloutely not addictive. Choclate is 1000% more addictive!!

    Hi there

I've been on Citalopram for 3 months now, have had depression on and off over the last 13 years. I was just so relieved to stop my suicidal thoughts, and the same thoughts running through my head over and over again like a record, i was tormented. I really recommend these tablets compared to some i have been on.

Dont be afraid about coming off them. Not sure what you've heard but reading through the experiences most people are really happy with them. Dont think too far ahead. One day at a time, even 1 hour at a time.

    Lots of best wishes

    Hi

The most important thing about coming off Citalopram is to do what is recommended and taper it off slowly.

Don't forget, that for every scare story you hear, there are probably thousands of satisfied patients.
