Still dizzy and nauseous after 8 weeks

Really hope some of you can tell me about dizziness and nausea on Zoloft. Did 2 week 25 mg. 1 week 50 mg 1 week 75 mg 2 week 100mg and now on 2nd week of 150 mg. My main complaint is the dizziness and nausea in the morning. I take it in the morning at breakfast. Should this side affect be gone by now and do you think taking at night would help?  Thanks

    Dear Ship,

I wouldn't worry too much as it's only been 2 weeks since you increased your dose. Do however go out and get som promethazin (Phenergan) to help with the nausea. It will settle – promise <3

I think you are still experiencing side effects because you have had to up your dose every couple of weeks. Once you have been on one dose for a while the side effects should subside.

      Thanks Kate. That is reassuring.

You have quite quickly climbed the ‘dose ladder’, so I wonder if that may possibly be contributing to your nausea and dizziness

I am on 50mg, but was very nauseaous for about 4 + weeks, and dizzy/lightheaded for much the same length of time.

I sipped Ginger tea, and took Ginger capsules (from Holland & Barrett), which did help x

They do help, but don’t take the nausea away completely - do give them a whirl :-)

      Hoping for you x
