Still in pain 3 weeks after Hysterepexy surgery

Almost 3 weeks after Hysterepexy and vaginal repair I’m still in pain, all day, full ache like period pain.
I know I would t be back to normal yet but thought it would have eased by now, also so tired.
Taking pain killers every day but not really helping.

I feel a bit of a wimp because it’s not terrible pain, it’s like period pain or mild contractions but 3 weeks on I’m exhausted, and it’s getting me down that I’m still walking like a bandy duck and having to wear joggers as my stomach is so tender!
Pain killers really don’t help much at all, and with minimal help at home it’s a struggle-my 12 year old has autism so I still have to do usual things for her.
I’m driving already tho I know it’s not advisable but only when the alternative is walking as I can’t cope with that either, I asked my eldest daughter to push the shipping trolley yesterday and you’d think I’d asked for a kidney!
I’ve rang the ward I was on for advice to see what they think but they’ve not rang back yet.

You certainly have s lot on your plate and it should like your could do with some help so you can relax more. Have you got anyone to ask ?
I hope the ward call back and give constructive advice and some reassurance. It is a long slow journey !

I went in for a Laproscopic Hysterepexy and they also said I might need some “vaginal repair” which I’ve found out is not done Laproscopically.
My discharge paperwork says both were done, but my operation notes don’t mention the VR!
The nurse said that kind of VR is the most painful procedure to recover from but obviously she can’t be sure I had it as the full notes weren’t in front of her (I think she saw a summary)
I’ll find out at 12 week check which is 9 weeks away, but likely not before!
My pain is mostly in my pain and I have had intermittent back pain as I have mild scoliosis, so that might be why I’m in more pain than expected-or I had the VR !
I’m sure I was told I had disposable stitches inside, which the nurse said I wouldn’t have if I only had the Hysterepexy, so it’s all a bit of a mystery!

Realise I put disposable when I meant dissolvable!
Does seem odd, I was definitely told they’d done VR as well and that’s in my discharge paperwork but why wouldn’t it be clear in my op notes.
Would explain a lot, if it’s as painful as she said, or it’s just the added factor of my previous back pain/condition
