Still in pain

I'm 4 wks post op, I was doing good or so I thought until like 2 days ago. My abdomen is swollen and hurts almost as bad as right after surgery. I had a lot of damage to my bladder as a result of endo and 3 c sections. I'm starting

To think something is wrong with my

bladder and it's not healing properly. Anyone else have anything like this?

Sorry you're feeling so rotten. If your abdomen hurts and is swollen I'd get some medical advice as it's four weeks down the line. Have you been doing too much? It's so hard to work out just how much is possible!  The poor old bladder has quite a time with this op and needs tlc. Avoid citrus, chocolate alcohol, and don't go near chilli!! . If you Google diet bladder sensitivity you'll get some ideas. Drink loads of water rather than squash. It will get better even if you feel as if you're in a dark tunnel at the moment. Take care.

Hi becky, sorry to hear your still having pain. I have had post op pain and been to Docs and hospital, I've had infections and am still on antibiotics. My tummy stll feels peculiar vry tender and sensitive but I think tat's quite common. Have you been to your GP, maybe you have a UTI? I am beginning to feel more myself now 6 weeks after surgery, so I would put your mind at rest and gve your GP a call, when we worry things can feel worse. Take care, hope you soon feel better.

Hi becky, I had a very simliar thing around 4 weeks post op, I was bloated, with pain and eventually sickness and diarhoea. It was terrible, so as other have said definately get checked out by doctor. I did not have a temperature, but ended up on strong antibotics, as crp was raised and I wasn't improving. Good luck x

Hi Becky, I'm 4 wks post op and also have a swollen sensitive abdomen.  I can't bear to wear anything that's not loose around my middle.  It's better each week, but really complains if I do too much, so I've learnt to rest after going for a walk, and to keep up with resting.  In my case it's the upper as well as lower abdomen that plays up, but I'm assured by docs that everyone heals differently.  I must say that I do wish I'd had it as easy as some of the other experiences I've read, and I certainly look forward in fitting back into my clothes 😊Did you do too much before you pain increased, maybe even the position you slept in?  I do hope that since you posted, you've improved and are feeling better.

Thank you everyone for the help and get wells. I called my dr. And had a urine test for uti and also kidney stones. Both came back negative. So not sure what to think. I guess it's just part of the healing process. I'm due to go back to work in a week and a half. Hope my bodies ready by then. Thank you all.
