Still in Severe pain after 96 hours (4 days)

Hi.
I had my op on Thursday afternoon 30th September and was discharged on Friday Evening 31st September.
I was having morphine while at the hospital, but that came to a full stop after I left.
I normally take Co-Codamol for Fibromyalgia and that is what the hospital gave me, for the pain, to take with me. On Saturday the pain was so bad I called 111 who said to come to the Badger Clinic. I saw a triage nurse and then a doctor who prescribed morphine (100ml) to get me over the "three day hump". ???
Today I am very nearly to the end of that prescription & have had to call a Doctor at my practice for more.
My pain has not eased since Saturday. Sleeping is the only respite I have from it. Lying down is uncomfortable…. Sitting is not much better. I have bought numerous shaped cushions to help too.
I'm taking laxatives that aren't as yet working.
Has anyone some advice or had a similar experience?
Main diagnosis.
Vaginal hysterectomy, anterior and posterior perineorrhaphy
No intraoperative complications.
Pharmacy; To complete course of tinzaparin, laxative and analgesia.

I suggest you get an appointment with your consultant as he will know what surgery you had and what was done.
We all differ with our recovery but to still be on morphine is rather a lot for your system to take. Is be out of my head lo l on another planet. I can just about manage paracetamol.

Thank you for replying.
I'm VERY jealous of you.
I'm still in as much pain as I was yesterday.
I'm hoping that when I eventually get to go for a poo, it will ease off, assuming that the pressure is causing some of the pain.
I haven't been since the day of the op.
I'm drinking fluids and taking laxatives, but no joy.
Anyway... I'll try to get through it.
I hate to be a moaner.
I'm certainly no wimp.

Your no wimp hun and certainly not a moaner.
It takes a strong woman to deal with all this crap.
I had my first anterior fail after doing nothing for 8 wks 2 years ago.
I'm not 6 mths post op tvh and anterior. I'm doing great but it's all left me paranoid from.failed op. I'm paranoid to do normal things like bending and hoovering lol. What is women go through is just awful. X

After my total hysto I was given diazepam which is generic for valium. You could ask about it orally as it helps with inflamation but I was told to place it vaginally. Even the nurses were surprised by that one but my dr was really well respected pelvic specialist and on the board or head of the national pelvic pain association here in the states. Maybe something to mention or as your dr about. 💜 also I assume youve asked about a stool softener? I would call the surgeon right away if it gets to be to long. It could make the pain worse. Best of luck
