i WOULD LIKE TO KNOW ,DO YOU TAKE ENAMAS FOR ONE MONTH  THEN WAIT UNTIL THE BLEEDING STARTS AGAIN, THEN GO BACK ON ENAMAS?  DOCTORS DON'T SEEM TO ANSWER THAT.

Hi, I was also on Asacol and then it changed to Octasa - I thought GP had changed it coz cheaper! I've had Pentasa enemas that didn't help flare up and am now on Salofalk granules and Prednisolone foam enema but nothing helping so far. My hairdresser noticed my hair is thinning and breaking off and advised getting my bloods checked for ? thyroid problems but when I checked Salofalk leaflet it states very rare side-effects hair thinning/hair loss. Going to ask to change medication when see Gasto dr in February. Anyone else having hair thinning?

Hi Kittd, yes I have hair loss   on salofalk  enamas  used to put 8 rollers on ,now its only 4 very worried.I asked to change medication and went on prednisolone. that made me quite ill.l suppose it was the change of med  from steroid to cortizone. I persevered for 11 days felt quite ill every day.first time out today.in 2 weeks i felt so exausted. i am having a flare now.I asked to go back on salofalk as I would rather go bald than feel that ill.so think twice Kitted.

I know the feeling well when you need to know something and can,t get the answer.

What I would do is ask pals the hospital trust for a personal meeting with your consultant good luck
