Had a open myomectomy on the 17 of March my period was due soon after had heavy bleeding for 3 day however I am still Spotting in total it's been 13 days is this normal my period normally last for 7 days don't know what to do

I had an open myomectomy 2 1/2 weeks ago and from what my consultant said and from other people's experiences I have read people can experience spotting many weeks after their surgery, especially as they become more mobile.
