Still suffering months on.It has been suggested I put my dogs in kennels for a week and rest as much as I possibly can.I want to ask if anyone has actually tried almost complete rest and what the results were.I'm worried that I will be without them and then immediately I resume walking again it recurs,so advice would be appreciated.

I am 27yr old woman! I rested for three weeks, but didn't help at all..

    Good luck.

Trouble is, if you rest completely, that the rest of the body goes to pot.

But if you walk you risk damaging or extending the condition, and if you don't walk properly you can damage your knees and hips.

    It's a lose/lose situation.

I'm just suffering it for my second time.

First time around it lasted about a month and the pain was more than this time. However this time the pain is less but lasting longer, now into my third month.

    The exercises do help.

If you look at all the blackfellas they all walk without flops/ shoes

May bethe answer is to walk bare foot even in winter, why not ?

    our ancestors walked this way.

After doing a job which involved hours of walking with a heavy bag, I went to doing nothing for weeks on end. Even then, I had pain. In actual fact I got even worse as my legs seemed to cramp more. I wouldn't recommend a complete rest, but a good pair of trainers works wonders for me. I wear some Nike trainers with inbuilt support and they are brilliant.
