Still unsure if I could have herpes?

Please if anyone could help, I recently had unprotected sex with someone 6 weeks exactly to the date apparently he has herpes for I saw he is prescribed medicine for herpes infection and it is for a longer time so I know its not for cold sores. When I asked he said he was tested and does not have anything but still do not trust that for some just do not want to admit to it. So basically after exposure I got a yeast infection but for the past year and half every time I have sexual intercourse I get a yeast infection so I did not think anything of it except this time it was so bad never had it this bad took like 4 different doses of diflucan for it to finally go away after a month a half. When I went to the doctor a week after exposure the test came back positive for heavy growth of a yeast infection and negative for a new exposure for herpes 2, I read that antibodies cant appear till later so I recently got retested last Wednesday and once again the test came back negative for herpes, all the symtpoms have gone away except I still feel like it burns sometimes but I dont know if I am just overthinking and making my body feel like that. I also feel like nerve numbness under my butt cheek and down my leg sometimes do not know if it is related to something else. Other than the normal itch burn and discharge with a yeast infection did not have any sores or fever. Since I got tested after 5 1/2 weeks again it was negative does anyone think it still could be it? I am still so nervous even though my doctor said I should be fine unless I want too, its just those symptoms really scared me and the fact that I still think it burns worries me.

This is a bit tricky. The Herpes virus doesn't always show signs and symptoms so people can go on Years before they know. If, like me, you get an out break you would notice having a flu like sickness. Herpes hides behind having a flu; aching muscles, fatigued, tiredness, nausea ad vomiting, high temperature and headache. You'll then get blisters around the genital area (HSV-2) and/or oral area(HSV-1, an intense and very painful feel when passing urine and itching. Due to the virus hiding behind the flu like symptoms I thought my blisters were down to sweating and heat and the pain was nothing more then a water infection, cystits or just because I had the flu until my boyfriend told me he had Herpes did it kinda come together as to what I was going through.
The Herpes Virus lies Dormant in the immune system, once you've got it you can't get rid of it. But is could lie i your body for months/years before you even get an outbreak. You'll only really know if you have the virus if you were to get an outbreak or if you have a blood test done. By doing a PCR Blood test will show if you're carrying the virus even if you don't show symptoms.
If your Doctor has given you the all clear and any test had come back Negative then I wouldn't worry too much. Burning in the urine can be quite a few things but if you're clear from Herpes then I wouldn't worry too much.

Yeast infections and Herpes do share some common ground but Herpes causes blisters whereas yeast infections do not. I don't know when I contracted the virus, but when mine did come out; i was sick for one day and then blisters had begun to appear. A blood test for Herpes is the best and most accurate way to find out if you have the virus.
Like said; if you've been told you're all clear for herpes then I'd take the word of a professional that everything is ok. If you continue to stress yourself out and overthink this it will make you worse off. Unless you have slept with someone who has the virus, shared a drink, shared saliva or a kiss then you couldn't have gotten the virus any other way.
