Stinging in ankle after stitches come off.

Hey guys

I had ORIF surgery two weeks ago and just got half the stitches taken out yesterday and my ankle put in a moonboot. The doc said to not have taken all the stitches out as it wasn’t ready. 

I am a bit worried as I have quite a bad stinging feeling on my ankle eversince yesterday and it really is sore!!!!!

I am afraid of taking off the boot to have a look incase it makes it worse!

Has anyone felt like this right after stitches have been pulled out?

    Yes and the stinging lasts awhile. You can remove the moon boot. Surprised you haven’t, since you should be washing your foot and leg daily now. That stinging will pass but it takes time.
