Stomach ache first thing in morning and sometimes after eating

Hi,

I have stomach aches in the morning first thing which slowly improves throughout the day, but can get worst after I eat. Just wondering if anyone has anything similar? I have been to see the doctor and he thought it was acid related, although i have been on anti-acids and they did not help much. The next step in the process is to have a camera down my throat but i am trying all i can to avoid that! Any adivce?

i've been having the same problem for months now. i'm only 13. every morning my stomach hurts. it's not painful but it's very uncomfortable and just ugh. when i go to school, i feel i'm going to throw up half the day. so i eat breakfast but skip lunch. and sometimes i get this gaggy feeling in my throat but like i never full on flag. after i eat, i feel sick. i want to the doctor and they found nothing wrong and they didn't prescribe medicine which i don't think would help anyway. lately i've been laying down and doing nothing bc of how bad i feel. and i can't just skip school all the time. i do notice that it tends to be worse when i don't eat but sometimes it hurts so much, i'm afraid i'll throw up. i'm terrified of throwing up and have terrible anxiety. and i also always feel like i will throw up but i never do. it's not like i don't want to bc i know if i did i'd probably feel better. i'm absolutely tired of this and want it to go away. i'll admit it's gotten a little better throughout the months but it's still horrible. when all of this first started i lost 10 pounds which isn't good considering i'm already skinny. but i have gained 5 since then. i would give anything to know what this is and what i can do to make it go away. it keeps me from doing things i REALLY wanna do. please help and get back to me ASAP.

Also Sarah--to add to my reply--my oldest daughter was very sick (and had been for at least 7 months) when we started her on a wheat free diet--2 days after she was on it, she got out of bed (on her own) for the first time in days and said she thought she felt better.  On the third day she got out of bed and stated that she was sure that she felt better and it was such a joy to see her grow well from then on.  What we didn't know then was that she actually had been exhibiting the symptoms her whole life but her young body was able to work past the damage that was being done inside.  Everytime she ate bread, pasta, or anything with wheat in it a little more damage happened inside of her. In her teens they symptoms became worse but she tolerated them well enough to continue with life.  When she was 23, the damage inside her was finally so great that her symptoms could not be ignored--but we didnt know what the problem was so she got worse--until she was bedridden and dying.  The doctors were trying but they could not figure out what was wrong--we were told that she had an autoimmue disease and that her immune system was attacking her own body and that the immuse system was causing widespread uncontrolled inflammation inside of her.  (She tested negative for Celiacs Disease several times--I don't know why).  The day after we were told her bodies systems were shutting down and that she was dying, we started her on the wheat/ gluten free diet.  Thank God we did.  The glutens and/ or possibly other proteins found in wheat were causing damage inside her intestines and that was causing the stuff in her intestines to leak into her body (Leaky gut syndrome).  The stuff leaking into her body was causing infections which caused her immune system to go fight the infections and that daily leaking caused the immune system to be going everyday and night -- that along with the wheat (which hurts her body) caused the whole body inflammation.  Her immune system wasn't attacking her own body, it was fighting the infections and the damaged caused by ingesting wheat.  Once she removed the wheat from her diet--she slowly recovered.

Sarah 75742-- (This is a partial reposting of my previous comment but it is good stuff) Please do not give up--but rather you should fight and it will be a tough fight--finding this issue is up to you and your       parent(s).  While the doctors mean well, they do not know everything.  They told you nothing is wrong but your body it telling you there is--listen to your body.  It sounds to me like you have a food sensativity.  The most likely culprits are wheat, (gluten) soy, milk, GMO produce and most often overlooked processed foods--but there are others that you may be sensative to.  The best way to identify the sensativity is to immediately start a diet that is very natural and limited, (fruits, fresh vegtables and protiens--not processed or boxed foods), and immediately start a good probiotic.  Give the diet a week or two before you notice any change in your symptoms.  Once you get to better health, slowly add foods back into you diet.  Add a new food and give it a week before you add another. You'll find the one that you are sensative to once you add it back into your diet as I believe your symptoms will come back--then permanently remove that food(s) from your diet.  I believe that your better health will be the motivator which keeps you on you diet.  Food sensativities are very hard and time consuming to diagnose.  It took us 23 years to find out that our daughters had a sensativity to wheat/ gluten and/or wheat protien.  It took 3 months (after identifying that wheat was the trigger) to bring them back to a place of health.  And if your sensativity is to wheat--that is a tough one, they put wheat in everthing, so read the labels on foods before eating them.  My now 17 year old daughter had your symtoms for many years before her mother and I figured out it was wheat--and her older sister had completeley different symptoms but they both had a sensativity to wheat.  The wheat sensativity/ celiacs disease can reveal itself with like 300 different symptoms and combination of symptoms--it really is a tough one to diagnose.  They are now both, wheat/ gluten free and doing great 18 months later.  Good Luck--but trust me the hard work is worth it in the end.  You arent broken, your body has, over time become poisoned and damaged by the crap in our foods and now it is finally telling you (through pain and discomfort) that it cannot handle anymore--its just that the human body was not meant to eat many of the modern modified/ processed/ chemicalized foods.  My family now eats (on a limited budget) meats from the local butcher, eggs from a local farm, fresh produce when availabe (or organic from the grocery store) and gluten free rice and quinoa.  We make our broth from the meats and bones we roast.  Once you find the food that you are sensative to--the anxiety will subside too.  Also continue you with the internet research--including research on Celiacs Disease.

      God Bless you Sarah.

These steps in conjunction with your doctor's advice should help Kel.

      Good Luck

Very relatable.  I used to wake up with a stomach ache daily, probably for about a year.  I changed my diet considerably and the problems went away within a few weeks.  Make sure you eat enough fruit and vegetables.  My problem was that my diet didnt have enough fiber and I had a mild lactose intolerance.

I have had stomach issues since I was in my 20s and am 49 now.   Yes, I had several endometriosis surgeries 5 or so.

I think it all started after a bad car accident and my seat belt injured my tummy.   The scar tissue keeps growing and goes everywhere and attaches to the organs.  When this happens the organ doesn’t move right.  It needs to be free to move.   This is why exercise is important and is the last thing you want to do when you are bloated in pain.  Kay on the bed and just do the exercises where you pull your tummy in.  These will help get things moving.  The other one is lifting your hips off the bed.  These will help your tummy and lower back.    They need to be in sync and work together for you to have less pain.

I was on antidepressants after they removed part of my colon and intestines.   I was depressed like you from the pain.  When I felt the need to go off of the antidrpresssnts, I did cold turkey.   I had withdrawal symptoms for 2-3 weeks.    After that, I still take acid pills and tramadol.   The doctors said it will help with the quality of your life.

Granted it knocks the pain out and lately I sm thinking it may also tell the body not to heal because our bodies are supposed to heal ..   I have recently looked into reiki healing, other natural healing.   Your mind is stronger than the pain - if you are distracted and hopefully laughing.    Whatever you do, be kind to you.  It is a learning process for you to know what you can do and for you to learn about your uniqueness.    Many things we put in our bodies have preservatives so the food can be sold for a longer period of time.   Try and eat healthy.    I know it is harder on a busy schedule and working multiple jobs.

I ran across this today - I am going to try and go a better job too.   I really think it is the food we eat and our bodies store the food with preservatives as fat because it doesn’t recognize the value.

It makes it hard to burn and you need to eat less than you take in.   Generally, these sn issues turn into weight gain and antidepressants make it worse.

Diets will make it worse.  Try to go to the lifestyle change in diet that suits you.    I still have burning in my intestines.  I take pepto.   I also still have this pain in my abdomen and back.   I font think surgeries cute this.  It seems to cone back every five years.  Now that I sm older, it takes longer to recover from the six weeks it used to.

I pray for everyone on here to have a pain free life smile🙏.   Keep working together and praying smile there is much to positive energy.

Hi All. I had been experiencing very similar symptoms for a number of months - stomach aches, sick and dizzy feeling, loss of appetite, weight loss (1.5st.) I’ve had the gastroscopy plus blood and stool tests - everything is showing as normal. I have also been to see doctors and specialists on BUPA with no real answers. They have however suggested I try a low FODMAP diet which is good for IBS and a number of other stomach conditions. (Read up on FODMAP, there is plenty of info on the internet plus numerous apps.) I have been trying this for a few weeks now and whilst I am still getting symptoms, they are minor in comparison to what they were. My appetite is back and I am also starting to put weight back on - yaaay. I hope that helps someone out there. Good luck x
