Stomach and digestion problems during peri

Does anyone have any good ideas, remedies to deal with digestion issues during Peri, I had NO Idea that among the myriad of other problems, breast soreness, joint pain, mood swings, anxiety and panic attacks now there is the stomach and digestion issues. I plan on seeing the dr. again if this does not go away but I am suspecting as everything else that I was worried about that this is menopausal too.

One source of comfort in all of this is that once we come out of this we don't have to pass this way again. I was headed downtown today in a taxi and I noticed some older women walking casually down the street and I thought, "surely they have gone through this and they appear to be carefree." That's when I realized that it won't always be like this.

True!  Its somewhat amusing to me that very few older women even discusss it as far as their experience, I have asked my grandmother, and my mom and older women and they just sort of blow it off like it wasnt a big deal and I look at them and I am thinking did you guys go through this and if you did how did you cope?

My mom is 84 and I remember vividly when she was going through it. She was angry all the time and yelled at us a lot and then other times she'd be crying buckets of tears for no reason at all. When I mentioned this to her she had no idea of what I was talking about. She didn't even remember behaving that way. It's like they just forget or something.
