Stomach issues

I'm not sure if this is anxiety related or not. Of COURSE I think it's stomach or pancreatic cancer because of my health anxiety. But if someone could tell me if they've experienced this, anxiety related or not, I would appreciate it!

It isn't constant, but sometimes my upper stomach hurts. It's not pain, it feels like a belly ache. It doesn't make me puke, but it makes me feel like if I throw up I will feel better. But I never do. It comes in like a wave. It lasts for like 15 minutes and completely goes away. It's just a gross feeling, not acidic either. It happens randomly also. It's not just after I eat or anything. HELLLPPPPPP

Stomach spasms. Hope your off all caffienne. Its anxiety and stress. Spasms. You should chat woth your go about them.  Maybe he will refer you to a gastroenterologist and they can do a endoscopy. They out you out for a small but and place a tube thru your miuth and view it all to your belly. They can see reflux, gerd or of anything is sinister. It doesnt hurt and you feel like you had a nap. Then all your fears in that area will be resolved. But yes people get stomach spasms.

stomafh soasms are not  serious. They are caused by having stress and fear. The gastroenteroligist would just make sure you do not have GERD..reflux. Too much acid for ing in yiur gut from being stressed.

I'm suffering acute anxiety and also irritable Bowen syndrome brought on by anxiety. When I'm very anxious I get discomfort in my upper stomach too. Its also brought on by muscle tension. It's not severe but more uncomfortable and niggling. I've had all my bloods done, abdomen X-ray, colonoscopy and ecg and all normal. Anxiety causes so many horrible symptoms. I had it 20 years ago too and has same symptoms then. Hope this helps

    Hi Jamie

I have upper tummy niggles too. I also convinced myself I had cancer. Went to doc, saw 3 different docs, had loads of bloods and ultrasound and all came back clear. All the docs said stress. Due to my HA I didn't believe them, was anxious for months, still not over it but a bit better.

Seeing a counsellor at the moment I hope it will help.

My symptoms are a niggling, twisting, spasm like twinge in my upper tummy. Sometimes I feel off my food or a bit nauseous. It comes and goes.

If you are worried go and see doc and explain how you feel. Doc may do tests, these may ease your mind but also he may prescribe counselling that could help.

I experience stomach issues the past days as well. It's really freaking me out too thinking of the worst case scenario. I get dull aches if i haven't eaten or  a dull ache right after i've eaten that goes away. Then after i've eaten i feel like my stomach is totally empty. Also wake up nauseous and anxious. I bet it's anxiety related ,as anxiety can really affect your stomach. If it puts your mind at rest,go and talk to your gp about it.

If it's worrying you go back and explain how much it's worrying you. Ask if there is anything she can suggest to put your mind at ease. It does sound like anxiety but I know how easy it is to say that but to believe it is really hard. I had to literally ask for bloods to be done and the ultrasound as well...in the end i paid privately for ultrasound because I was so anxious and they said I might have to wait a few weeks for it on NHS.

Try to calm down. If your doc is not worried then that's a good sign. If you are still worried go back and say so...do you see a counsellor?

I'm not really that freaked out about it, just a lttle concerned. It started happening after my c section. If it was more constant and painful, I would probably be going insane.

I was seeing a mental health counselor but she wasn't that great. She didn't really know much about anxiety.

Well, it depands on the kinf of pain. If its like stomachache then you need to see the doctor and he will prescribe you an acidity drug that will ease the pain. It is not dangerous dont worry

And if the pain feels like you are sick then it is anxiety.

    Hope u get better

It doesn't feel like acid. And it's not pain. It's like a stomachache. Kind of crampy but not really. Just a gross blah feeling.

Eat small meals theoughout the day no big ones and remove coffees, sodas..etc..see if that helps it. Belly breathing is great too. Calms spasms.
