Stomach issues from 4 months

Hello Everyone, It's my first time on the forum. Hope someone can suggest or reassure

I am a 20 years old male from India. Had a sudden loss of appetite and heartburn in October last year. Since then the appetite is on and off. Somedays very good and somedays poor. Various tests done during this time Blood tests , Liver function test , Endoscopy. All came normal. 2 weeks ago went to a Gastroenterologist. He said its probably gastritis and gave ppi and Appetite syrup. But still same issue. Appetite on and off. Can anyone advise. In these entire months i self diagnosed myself with stomach cancer , pancreatic or liver cancer and what not.😅😅

All the tests you had would have shown you have cancer. So,you don't have cancer ok. You could have a ulcer. They cause burning of stomach. And also bad nausea. Very important is your diet. No spicy foods or greasy. If you start with a healthy diet then that's half the battle. So you have any symptoms?.

    Good afternoon

don't jump the gun in thinking about cancer if you have had endoscopy test with a camera it would of seen anything abnormal you probably need more tests .

Maybe you need to be careful what you are eating for a couple of weeks and see what happens or to see if it improves , go back to your doctor and explain to them again what the problem is and that you need to see a specialist.

good luck and i hope you get your answers you desperately need.

Do a a food diary to see if a food is the problem, accept your doctor's diagnosis of gastritis and get help for your health anxiety. Sometimes PPIs can cause side effects too.

Have you considered the fact that you are probably eating different kinds of food than you ate in India?

Yes you're right. I have observed that when I take home cooked and medium sized meals i can eat 3 times a day with proper hunger. But someday if i have some junk food outside then my appetite again disturbs. I also feel it's gastritis. One doctor advised me to have a h pylori stool test but it's appointed next month. So have to wait till then. Anyways thank you everyone for your help.

Try avoiding all junk food since that seems to affect your appetite and stick to home cooked meals.

I would have thought they tested for h pylori when they did your endoscopy. Ask your doctor about that.
