Stomach pain - Acid Reflux

Hi there, has anyone experienced stomach pain with reflux? The pain seems to be just below my chest and moves down a bit to above my navel Doctor has put me on 30mcg of lansoprazamole . Ive been taking for a week now, havent felt much of a difference . How long can it take to start to work?

    It can take up to 2 weeks! eat very bland, small portions, 4x aday, never wait till u r starving! carry crackers incase u cant eat. elevate your head and chest to sleep! Try to be stress free! no alcohol, chocolate, beer, spice food or tomato products! No bending over after a meal! no smoking! if it doesnt get better tell your doctor he may change the meds.. He may recommend a barium swallow, however u might just go right to an endoscopy! I had a barium swallow and it didnt show a hiatal hernia! nothing to either test! happy holidays and hope this helps!

      I think you gave all the info.. well done, i just thought i would add that it may take more than a few weeks... i have had more than a month with this... seems the real problem is figuring out which foods are triggers, and timing those smaller meals. Getting used to small potions can also be a challenge. Im having an endoscopy in December.... have had all the other tests... one thing, dont give up and dont let the stress of all this get you down.... try to keep positive

    You could have a bit of inflammation which should clear up with the ppis, give it a bit of time. The pain moving around your navel could be IBS.
