Stomach pain for nearly 6 weeks

I have been having some stomachs issues for about 6 weeks now. It all started with terrible pain in the center of my upper abdomen. It came with severe nausea and at first diarrhea. The pain lasted for nearly 2 weeks and between that and the nausea I was unable to work or do anything. The pain and nausea would be terrible in the morning and through the afternoon but would go away later in the day and then I would be able to finally eat. My diet consisted of applesauce, grilled chicken, and bananas. I was at the hospital and they did a ct and an ultrasound. The only thing that showed up there was swollen lymphnoids on my mesentary. While some of the symptoms can come from that, my diet should not be affected. I recently had an upper gi scope which came back fine, just a little irritation in my stomach.

Fast forward to today, I still wake up every morning feeling really crappy, rarely feel nausea unless I eat something that aggravates my issues. It usually goes away after an hour or two but comes back after eating. It's not terrible but is uncomfortable and just plain sucks.

Foods that seem to aggravate it the most are acidic like pizza and pasta salad, and also fried foods which have only been tried once. Dairy is a big no no, only in light amounts like cheese on a sandwhich. Absolutely no ice cream or a glass of milk though. I lost nearly 15 pounds and was only able to put back on about half of it. My diet has mostly been chicken, Turkey, salad, bagel sandwiches with a little ham egg and cheese, potatoes and rice. It doesn't sound so bad but I'm sick of tip toeing around what I should eat when I still feel like crap in the morning anyway.

I believe my gi doctor and others are taking me seriously because I'm a 22 year old Male and "I'm too young to have these issues". Hida scan is scheduled for july 5th but only because I argued with the doctor to have it done. I truly believe it's my gallbladder but I also feel like I dont show all the right symptoms and I dont have any stones.

Medications I'm on are 40mg ompeprozole once a day and carafate 3 times per day. My bowel movements are very inconsistent. Usually once a day early in the morning. Some days I'm constipated and its balls or really lumpy, diarrhea, or normal. Over the weekend one day it had a red tint to it like blood and burned but it was normal in shape and came out with ease. The following day it was a bunch of loose pieces with no defined shape and some of it appeared to be undigested food.

I'm at a loss and need some help as to what the next direction I should be moving it to get back to normal. I need to know what to suggest or what tests to fight for. I just want to get back to normal.

I have said this before to others but what you are experiencing is not normal so if I were you I would go to a gastrologist.  If you had to talk your doctor into taking a test then all the more reason to see a specialist.  I would for sure have your gall bladder checked.  good luck..
