Stomach pains????

Hi hippie friends,

I am 5 weeks post op.

Every morning when I wake up (even if I haven't been able to sleep much ) I have the weirdest pains in my stomach, I can't really describe them but they are not nice at all, I think they are due to having to sleep on my back and I was just curious if anybody else had suffered from them and do they stop when you can sleep normal again?

    Hi cookie

No i didnt find sleeping on my back gave me stomach pains but i did start sleeping on my side after 3 weeks but with a pillow between my legs. Maybe you could ask your medic if you can sleep on your side now

Take care and hope you feel better soon

    Good morning cookie,

what kind of a pain is it? is it a muscle like pain or something inside your stomach?

does it go away when you are out of bed?

    what medications are you on?

Maybe you can contact your Gp?

    How are you doing otherwise?

take care and be gentle with yourself

    big warm hug

      Morning renew,

I'm sure it is just muscular but it's so painful and yes it does go away once I'm up and moving but because its so uncomfortable I don't want to go to bed. Hopefully it will go once I can sleep on my front again.

Hope you are well and happy. X

    Hi Cookie

It might be trapped wind or you could be constipated. Depending omn what medicatrions you are on that could be the cause.

      Hi Hailea

I'm not and haven't been on any medication for weeks, must admit it probably is some type of muscular problem and will be relieved once I can sleep in a normal position.

      Thank you for the ideas.

      Keep well.

If you are taking pills, it could be acid.

have you tried a Rennie or Gaviscon?
