Stomach pains with excessive gas

**At 4 a.m. I wake with bolting and gas. Is it pmr or the pred.?? I have taken much o.t.c. drugs to no avail. Is gastritis linked to either? thanks

Pred and irritated stomach are not uncommon - many doctors give a PPI to protect the stomach. However - a common adverse effect of omeprazole is bloating and wind.
