Hi,

So my pancreatic elastase is normal, however I have elevated putrefactive short chain fatty acids, indicating protein maldigestion.

If I have normal pancreatic function, what causes maldigested protein?

Another thing however showed I have low Chymotrypsin, but how can this be when my pancreatic elastase1 result is normal?

Any help appreciated!

hi tokey, this is like a chat website, where we try to support each other because doctors sometimes don't. i certainly don't have any health background but someone on here might. the doctors can't diagnose something and then leave you trying to work out what, that's awful! i hope someone helps you and soon.
