Stool medium brown mix with pale brown stool

Hey all

I've been having issues with the colour of my stools colour, it has seemed to be normal these past few days but yesterday it was a normal formed stool with half medium brown and other half very light brown. I have had issues with an ache in my back , but I've had an camera in the stomach, liver function tests ( this also looked at the function of the pancreas) and an ultra sound. These were ok. Is it possible it was just diet related?

Just got onto this forum.  Same color of my stools for last two weeks.  Lower back pain a bit but am reluctant to go in to see doctor.   Am wondering how things turned out for you.  Thanks for answering in advance,

I wanted to make an account just to reply to this.

I went to a really good Gi specialist and was told all Brown poop is normal, unless it's to the point where it's black or mixed with a lot of blood.

The back pains are most likely due to flatulence. When you feel constipation or like you need to pass gas but it's not coming out, you're more likely too feel like you git kicked in the back or ribs. Foods that you cannot digest properly or have a slight intolerance too cause the bloating and pains (period pains cause this as well). Eat a low carb diet and limit dairy /caffeine for a week. Then you can start figuring out what foods are causing the pains.

Yes Thinking about bowel colour can make it lighter , because of the stress your bowel movements become faster which may cause lighter/green stools ,and low fat diet can do the same.
